Quotation preparation

Electric Bus Manufacturer Sourcing Process

E-Bus Source prepares buyer-side requests, approaches candidate original manufacturers and normalizes responses. We are not a factory, dealer, importer, certification body or destination approval authority. The buyer retains the decision, and suppliers must substantiate every exact-model claim.

Coordinated sourcing actions

We translate operating duty into a written RFQ, screen candidate supply paths, collect quotations, request specification sheets and organize open questions. Supplier outreach uses the same configuration, quantity, destination and quotation basis to reduce misleading differences between offers.

Excluded decisions

We do not issue compliance opinions, engineering approvals, registrations, warranties, financing or insurance. Destination-side experts must determine whether a quoted electric bus, charging system and document set meet the applicable project and jurisdiction requirements.

Why Electric Bus Quotations Stop Being Comparable

  1. Family maximum versus quoted bus

A brochure may show the highest passenger count or largest battery in a family while the quotation covers another body length or seating plan. Ask for the exact body, axle, door, accessibility and battery configuration on the priced line item.

  2. Nominal versus usable energy

Nominal pack capacity is not the energy available for operation. Request both values, battery chemistry, thermal-management description and the test conditions behind any range statement. HVAC, grade, speed, payload and temperature can materially change real duty results.

  3. Vehicle price versus delivered scope

One quote may include chargers, spares, commissioning or inland transport while another is ex works. Separate the vehicle, charger, tooling, customization, inspection, training, documentation, logistics, duties and destination work before comparing procurement total cost.

  4. Series document versus exact model

A certificate, test report or declaration for a product family may not cover the quoted model year, body, powertrain or destination. Request the document identifier, issuer, scope and configuration relationship, then obtain destination-side review where required.

Like-for-Like Electric Bus Comparison Ledger

Comparison itemRequired basisEvidence to request
Passenger configurationExact body, seats, standing capacity, doors and accessibilityGeneral arrangement and priced configuration sheet
Powertrain and energyMotor, inverter, nominal and usable capacity, connector and charger scopeExact-model datasheet and charging interface schedule
Duty performanceRoute, speed, grade, payload, climate and HVAC assumptionsRange calculation or test record with stated conditions

A comparison ledger reveals omissions; it does not validate supplier statements. Material differences are returned as clarification questions before the buyer treats a response as comparable.
